Project Engineer

Location: Portland and Eugene
Salary: DOE

About The Job:

The Project Engineer works with Project Managers, customers, field personnel and office staff in a collaborative manner.  Some of the tasks include –

  • Manage jobsite documents
  • Prepare equipment requisitions with the Purchasing Department
  • Research, prepare and present proposals
  • Prepare cost control and expense reports
  • Schedule and track job progress
  • Review design drawings, estimates and write change orders
  • Write subcontracts, purchase orders, correspondence field questions, and job write-ups
  • Assist with preparation of submittals, operations and maintenance manuals, air balance logs and as-builts
  • Develop positive rapport with customers and suppliers
  • Work with designated Alliant personnel to obtain training
  • Provide timely and constructive communication with staff and customers regarding project status and concerns throughout all phases

Your Qualifications –

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in construction management or similar work experience
  • Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to adapt to flexible responsibilities
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Products, NavisWorks, Bluebeam
  • Technical experience specifically including detailed submittal/installation drawing review, dimension checking and material compliance; prior experience with mechanical and plumbing systems desired
  • Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
